Jonzac Cartoons Exhibition

By Marlene Pohle

Some cartoonists met together recently at Jonzac, cognac’s fatherland, for an exhibition of
their talent. There were Napo, an argentinian very technicolor drawer living in France and
Sabatier, a french fantasy drawer but jazz musician too; the 90 years old Jer, the 89 years old Piem and the 69 years young Brito; the old single scottish malt man Ross Thompson and the scottish woman Anthea Lewis; the french men Bridenne, Cambon, Dubouillon, Gibo, Pichon, Redon, Rousso and the french woman Trax; Pol Leurs, from Luxembourg; the poet and jazz player Guy Meunier, the wine grower Bernard Cellow and his sister Elizabeth, painter. There were not some great absents like Ralph Steadman and Glen Baxter, from England, but also Avoine and Loup, from France. And, last but lot least, there was the author of the following caricatures, the argentinian Marlène Pohle, from Germany.

And so goes the mixed world. Some cartoonists met together recently at Jonzac, cognac’s fatherland, for an exhibition oftheir talent.
