No Butts About It

Television's own Nurse Carla is believed to have last week tried out the latest in buttless hospital gown fashion.

Scrubs Star Judy Reyes last week gave birth to a baby girl, and the Hot Moms Club that threw a party for her reportedly caught wind of the new hospital DIgNI-tee gowns. With functional snaps up and down the arms and sides, “They cover everything,” spokeswoman Jessica Parker said -- most importantly, the backside.

"Judy Reyes received a pink one for her baby shower,” Parker said. “It's Scrubs for 'Scrubs.’”

The gowns retail for $30 each at www.ivwear.com. They’re also described by the site as, “comfy, cozy patient wear … no butts about it!”

The gowns came about when one of the company’s owners went through 14 surgeries after a car accident, Parker said.

“I think people are self-conscious about being (at hospitals),” Parker said. “It's already usually a thing that's out of their control. This helps give them comfort and it‘s nice to bring your own things … books, magazines and now gowns, with them.”

IV Wear in February will put 10 percent of sale proceeds of limited edition red gowns toward heart disease research.

“It's comforting, I think especially to women recently diagnosed with something to prepare with,“ Parker said.
