We're not the only ones who got our Twitter hacked |

Some hacker tweeted on Britney's account, writing some crap about a new world order or something: "I give myself to Lucifer every day for it to arrive as quickly as possible. Glory to Satan." To return to the matter at hand... Here's the skinny from Twitter on today's hacking episode, which affected an untold number of Twitter users: "Getting weird DMs? Probably due to phishing." Twitter also suggests you don't click any of the links you receive. Whatever you do, "Don't go to the links sent in the DMs or give out your log-in and password." DM is Twitter talk for direct messages. You also might want to change your password to prevent any further phishing. It turns out that Twitter was battling phishers as early as this month if you check out their spam feed. Stupid Twitter hackers! While we have your attention, and at the risk of doing this at a completely inappropriate time, we'd like to encourage you to sign up for dscriber's Twitter feed (click here). We promise we're not taking IQ tests. But we might tell you about the next scam. Share |

If you follow dscriber's Twitter feed, you probably received a tweet this morning inviting you to try your best to beat our score on an IQ test. The only problem: dscriber didn't take an IQ test (and we seriously fear what the results would indicate if we did). As we were coming to the realization that our Twitter account had somehow been hacked, we received word of what was going on. Long story short: We weren't the only ones who got hacked, which explains why we received so many challenges from friends of ours to also take IQ tests (and many aren't our pals on Twitter). It made us go, 'Hmmmmm. At least it isn't as bad as what happened to Britney Spears earlier this month.'
