John Elway, the former Hall of Fame quarterback and current used car sales man, is the closest thing Denver has to an official statesman -- and he is poised to become an ambassador for Bronco-land to the rival Raider Nation when he weds former Raiders cheerleader Paige Green on Saturday.

The Broncos and the Raiders have never been bedfellows in the past, which may explain why the nuptials are taking place on neutral territory, at Elway's ranch in Idaho. Elway, 49, has been single since 2003, when he divorced his wife of 18 years, Janet Elway. He met Green at a charity golf tournament in 2005 and proposed in Venice, Italy, according to the Denver Post's gossip columnists (those still exist?).
