Colorado snow style: skiing's emergent 80s-ish neon trend |

On Colorado's ski slopes, fashions for the shredders are getting ever brighter, marking a return to the almost-fluorescent and neon that seemed to disappear around the time that George Michael left Wham! Where the last decade has been filled with a rugby-esque fashion look on the slopes, people donning various shades of tan, yellow, red, and olive paired with black, the 2010s appear to be the decade to look like a yield sign. In a trend sure to explode next year, the fashionable this year are already donning the brighter, more patterned look. On a recent day at Arapahoe Basin, both skiers and snowboarders were evidence of the trend, showing off bright pairings of yellow and blue patterns, highlighter-pen yellow, and green-purple paired with bright orange pants. --Images by Anna Basquez Share |
