Sudans – War follows the divide

By Damien Glez

About the Contributor

Damien Glez

Damien Glez

Damien Glez, a native of France, holds the high honor of being awarded the "African Cartoonist of the Year" in 2002. Admittedly, he would have never taken to pen and paper had he not decided to move to Africa at age 23. That's where Glez helped co-found the weekly satirical newspaper, Le journal du Jeudi, in 1991. It was at there that he honed his artistic skills and profound interest in cartooning. His works have been published in Europe and North America -- far from his adopted home in Burkina Faso on the upper east side of the vast African continent. For the record, Glez is both French and Burkinabè.
