Cartoonist Godfrey Mwampembwa, a.k.a "GADO," joined Africa's Nation Newspapers in 1992 as an editorial cartoonist. His editorial art appears in the Daily and Sunday Nation, as well as the East African. GADO's works have also been published in the France's Courrier International, Britain's Guardian, and Japan's Times, among others. Gado is also a creator and producer of the weekly satirical puppet show, the "XYZ SHOW" on Citzen TV in Nairobi, Kenya. Born in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, in 1969, GADO  lives in Nairobi with his wife Stephanie and daughters Mwaji-Odeta and Keza-Anganile.
