By D. Scriber  l Published: Wednesday, July 07 2010 06:39

ringo_starrToday is former Beatle Ringo Starr's birthday and if you're wondering what the drummer with everything might want, he lays it out in a video on his website. The ever-hip Ringo wants something very 60s as he turns 70 years old: Peace and love. That simple. To get his gift, Ringo needs a little help from his friends--and fans. At noon, wherever you happen to be (yes, even if you're watching the World Cup), stop what you are doing, fashion your fingers into peace symbols, and throw them into the air, saying "peace and love, peace and love." After all, he has played John Lennon's "Give Peace a Chance" while on tour. As Ringo explains in a video: "I have a fantasy that one day the whole world at noon on July 7 will go 'peace and love.'"

Ringo wants you to tweet your love on Twitter, Facebook it, and to send pics and video to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it so that he can post the best ones on YouTube.
