Good as Gold?

It's not exactly clear if U.S. gymnast Nastia Liukin is figure skater Evan Lysacek's girlfriend. It seems like she likes him after all her tweets, including this one today:  "So proud of you @EvanLysacek. Enjoy this amazing time of your life. You deserve every second of it! XO." And People reported that the men's figure skating gold medalist met Liukin in October 2008 in Rapid City, South Dakota, while performing on the NBC special Skating & Gymnastics Spectacular. The magazine reported the two have "been dating since last summer." But then last weekend Lysacek told ET "I'm single" and that he hasn't dated for a while. In fact, he added, "I'm lonely."

Now People reports that Liukin, not "the couple," confirms the relationship.

Looking at Twitter, the blonde Liukin has tweeted about Lysacek at least seven times since the Vancouver Olympics began. Lysacek has tweeted back a mention of Liukin just once. Perhaps it's just different online habits. Or maybe Lysacek is really busy. Whatever the case, the two were in a pic together and seem just dandy. At some point, they'll have to set the record straight.
