Super Bowl ads: GoDaddy banned, Tim Tebow embraced |

On the other hand, CBS earlier this week explained its decision to run the ad featuring Tebow and his mother, admitting that it has altered its policy to accept commercials advocating political causes. Of course some could dismiss this as a publicity stunt by GoDaddy, which is known for pushing the envelope with Super Bowl commercials. On the other hand, CBS is the network that ran the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, featuring hot, scantily-clad women galore.

CBS seems to be going decidedly conservative and family-friendly with its slate of Super Bowl ads. While the network will air what's said to be an anti-abortion ad featuring college football hero Tim Tebow, riling several progressive women's groups, executives have shot down a somewhat racy GoDaddy.com ad starring race car driver Dancia Patrick, a woman dressed in hot lingerie and a guy who starts a website to sell sexy clothes.
